What are PDO Threads?
PDO stands for Polydioxanone, a dissolvable and self-absorbable suture material. There are two types of threads, smooth and barbed. The smooth threads are used for a skin tightening effect. The barbed threads form a support that lifts the sagging skin. Smooth and lifting threads are often used in conjunction to achieve better results. PDO threads have a high safety profile, complete absorption and minimal tissue reaction.
