Hashimoto Management
Who it's for

When standard thyroid care isn't enough

Our Hashimoto management support patients with autoimmune thyroid disease who still don't feel well — despite being 'in range' on paper.

Traditional labs may not show any abnormalities

Standard thyroid lab results can remain within the normal range despite ongoing symptoms.

Fluctuating labs

TSH and antibodies that shift — requiring attentive, ongoing management.

Autoimmune complexity

Hashimoto's alongside other hormonal or metabolic concerns common after 30.

Seeking expertise

Patients who want care that treats thyroid as a system — not a single number.

Hashimoto's Disease

What Is Hashimoto's Disease?

Hashimoto's disease, also called Hashimoto's thyroiditis, is the most common autoimmune thyroid disorder. It occurs when your immune system mistakenly attacks your thyroid gland, causing chronic inflammation and gradually reducing its ability to produce thyroid hormones.

Common Symptoms

Symptoms vary from person to person and often develop slowly. You may experience:

  • Fatigue and low energy
  • Weight gain or difficulty losing weight
  • Depression or low mood
  • Brain fog and difficulty concentrating
  • Cold intolerance
  • Hair thinning or hair loss
  • Dry skin and brittle nails
  • Constipation
  • Puffy face
  • Muscle weakness or joint pain
  • Slow heart rate
  • Irregular or heavy menstrual periods
  • Fertility challenges

Because these symptoms are common in many conditions, Hashimoto's is often overlooked until proper laboratory testing is performed.

Questions

Hashimoto's, answered

Can you help if I already take levothyroxine?

Yes. Many of our patients are on thyroid medication but still symptomatic. We review your full picture — labs, symptoms and history — before adjusting anything.

Do you treat the autoimmune component?

We address Hashimoto's comprehensively — thyroid hormones, antibodies, nutrition and related factors — within an evidence-informed medical framework.

How often will I be seen?

Initially more frequently while we optimize your protocol; then at intervals that match your stability. You're never left guessing between visits.

What testing do you use?

Beyond TSH, we often evaluate free T3, free T4, antibodies and related markers — tailored to your case.

Is Hashimoto's the same as hypothyroidism?

No. Hashimoto's is the autoimmune disease that damages the thyroid. Hypothyroidism is the result of the thyroid producing too little hormone. Many people with Hashimoto's eventually develop hypothyroidism.

How Is Hashimoto's Disease Diagnosed?

A comprehensive evaluation includes both thyroid-specific testing and a broader assessment of your overall health and biomarkers.

Can Hashimoto's Disease Be Cured?

Hashimoto's disease cannot be cured, but it can be successfully managed. With proper management, here at BeRejuved we are often successful in lowering thyroid antibody levels, which in turn may reduce inflammation, slow the progression of thyroid damage, and significantly improve symptoms through comprehensive medical care and lifestyle optimization.
